Note

When Walter James was about aged 8, his parents Charles and Sarah split up and he went to live at Bridge Farm , Dickleburgh with his Aunt Mary who had married John Mickleburgh in1846. His brotherArthur William went to live with his father's elder sister Sarah at Gothic Farm Heveningham, She had married her cousin James Le Grys. Charles John Thrower Le Grys hadleft school and was working as a clerk on the Railway As soon as he was able Walter left the Mickleburghs residence and went to London for work, as a barman and cellarman at a pub in the Westbourne Grove area. He worked hard, saved and made his way back to the locality of his childhood. Duringthis time he saw a girl he fancied, so the story goes, and obtained work on her father's farm, thus the Adcock connection. He married Elizabeth at Pulham St Mary in 1886
