In Kelly's Directory, N Walsham, p603, William Alexander Le Grice was a member of the Urban District Council and on p506 was described as "grocer Church St, and general outfitter, Market Place"

William Alexander LeGrice was to open two businesses in North Walsham. An Outfitters in the Market Place and a Grocers and Provisions store in Church Street. William Alexander married Ellen Mary Fuller at Smallburgh in 1899 and they had three children, Charles William born in 1901, Edward Burton in 1902 and Ellen Marjorie born in 1905.
